Nothing about that changes when a coating goes on. A coating that lets vapor through survives it. One that traps it gets pushed up in blisters and sheets.
So we test before we quote rather than after. If the slab is wet we say so and price the system that can handle it, and if it is bad enough that no coating belongs on it we will tell you that too. It is a shorter conversation than the one that happens a year after a floor fails.
Heat speeds resin up. The cure is a chemical reaction, and the warmer the slab and the air, the faster it runs, which cuts into the time we have to work the material. Temperature controls how resin behaves. Mild weather gives us the most time to work, so spring and fall dates go fast. In summer we pour early, before the heat builds. In winter we wait on a slab that is warm enough. Pretty much any month can work with the right timing.
What moves the price.
Two things move the number: square footage and what shape the slab is in. A clean, sound slab is the cheap version. A slab with a failed coating on it, deep oil saturation, or cracks that have to be chased and filled costs more because the prep takes longer, and prep is most of the labor.

How the two days run.
Day one is prep. Grinders and dust extraction come off the trailer and the slab gets taken down to clean concrete, then the cracks and pits that the grind exposes get chased out and filled. It is loud and it is dusty, and it is most of the labor in the job. Day two is the pour and the topcoat, which is the fast half.
Everything has to come off the floor before we get there, shelving and all. The grinder covers the whole slab edge to edge, so an empty room on the first morning is the one thing we ask for. After the topcoat you can walk on it the next day. Driving on it waits until day three or four.
Who actually pours it.

How much dust does it make?

Yes, completely. We need the whole slab open to grind it. Plan on the garage being empty the morning we start and staying empty until the floor takes weight.
Will it peel like the kit I bought at the store?
Store kits fail because they go over sealed concrete with no mechanical prep. We grind the slab open first, which is what lets the resin key into the concrete instead of sitting on top of it.
Can you coat a floor that already has something on it?
Usually. Old paint, failed sealer, and most previous coatings come off in the grind. If there is a moisture problem underneath we will tell you before we quote it, not after.
